"Eyelid surgery" is really three different operations. Choosing between upper, lower and combined blepharoplasty is the single biggest factor in your price, your recovery and how natural the result looks, so it is worth understanding the difference before you send your first photos to a clinic.
Upper blepharoplasty removes excess skin (and sometimes a little fat) from the upper lid, which can make the eyes look tired or even narrow your field of vision. In Turkey it is usually performed under local anesthesia, which keeps the procedure short and the cost lower — from around €1,600.
Lower blepharoplasty addresses bags, puffiness and loose skin beneath the eyes. It is technically more delicate than the upper lid, which is why the price starts higher, from around €2,300, and why your surgeon will assess lid tone carefully before choosing a technique.
Many patients with changes in both areas choose to treat them together for a balanced, more complete rejuvenation, from around €3,200. One operation and one recovery period is often more convenient than two separate trips.
Across all three options, bruising and swelling typically improve within 1–2 weeks. Upper-only surgery tends to feel lighter, while lower and combined surgery can leave more visible puffiness for a little longer. No hospital stay is needed, but a short hotel stay of around 3–5 nights lets you attend your follow-up visit and have the stitches removed before flying home.
Send clear, front-facing photos in natural light and tell us what bothers you most. We pass them to the surgeon, who recommends upper, lower or combined surgery and gives you a personalized quote. A final decision is always made after an in-person assessment.
Tell your clinic straight away if you notice severe or one-sided pain, a sudden change in vision, swelling that rapidly increases on one side, or any sign of infection such as spreading redness or discharge.
Is eyelid surgery painful?
Upper eyelid surgery is usually done under local anesthesia with mild discomfort; your surgeon discusses anesthesia options in advance.
How long should I stay in Turkey?
Typically 3–5 nights, including the follow-up visit and suture removal.
Can I have both lids done at once?
Yes, combined upper and lower surgery is common, and your surgeon will tell you whether it is appropriate for you.
