Are You a Good Candidate for BBL in Turkey? What Surgeons Check Before Operating

A good BBL starts with the right candidate, not just the right surgeon

A Brazilian Butt Lift moves your own fat from one area to another, so the result depends on how much usable fat you have, how healthy you are and how well you can follow the weeks of aftercare. Reputable surgeons in Turkey assess all of this before they agree to operate, and sometimes they advise waiting or choosing a different procedure.

1. Enough donor fat

Fat is taken by liposuction from areas such as the abdomen, waist or thighs. If you are very slim, there may not be enough to create the volume you want, and the surgeon will tell you honestly what is realistic. Your photos and measurements are reviewed in the quote stage, before you book travel.

2. General health and medical history

Surgeons ask about previous operations, blood-clotting history, chronic conditions, medication and smoking. You will usually be asked for recent blood tests, and some conditions mean surgery must be postponed or declined. Be fully open here: it protects you.

3. Stable weight and realistic goals

Results look best when your weight is stable. Large weight changes after surgery affect how the contour looks. A good consultation covers what a BBL can and cannot do, including that some of the transferred fat is naturally absorbed in the first weeks.

4. Being able to follow the sitting rule

Pressure on the buttocks can reduce how much fat survives, so sitting is restricted for around 2 weeks. Think honestly about your return journey, work and daily routine. Our BBL recovery guide and the sitting rule explains how this works in practice.

5. Planning your stay

A typical BBL package includes about 2 nights in hospital and 3 nights in a hotel, with a total stay of 5 to 7 nights including the follow-up visit. Your coordinator arranges transfers, an interpreter and your compression garments.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a BBL if I am slim?
It depends on the amount of donor fat available. The surgeon assesses this from your photos and again in person.

Do I need tests before travelling?
Often yes. Your coordinator tells you which blood tests and documents the surgeon wants to see.

Can the surgeon refuse to operate?
Yes. A responsible surgeon will decline or postpone if surgery is not suitable for you.

Send us what you already have — the pathology report, imaging on disc, discharge summaries. A specialist at a partner hospital will review it and tell you what is realistic in your case and how quickly treatment could begin. Reviewing your documents costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
