Price is the first thing almost everyone asks about, and the honest answer is that laser eye surgery in Turkey is not one price but a short ladder of methods. Each method suits a different cornea and a different prescription, and the one you end up with is decided by your measurements rather than by your budget. At our partner ophthalmology hospitals in Turkey, vision correction starts from €1,390 for both eyes with LASIK and reaches €4,700 for an ICL lens implant. This page sets out the whole ladder for 2026, what each figure covers, and the four things that genuinely move a quote up or down.
These are partner-hospital prices for international patients, held to 31 December 2026. They are hospital prices: you pay the hospital directly, and MedAgent adds no mark-up — we are paid by partner hospitals under coordination agreements, not by patients.
At our partner hospitals a laser correction package covers the pre-operative examination on the day of surgery, the surgeon's fee, the operating theatre and the laser platform itself, the medication used during the procedure, the post-operative drop regimen, and the follow-up checks that happen before you fly home — usually one the next day and one before departure. Both eyes are included in the figures above; eye surgery is almost always done bilaterally in a single session, which is why nobody quotes per eye except for retina work.
Flights and accommodation sit outside every quote. So does anything that turns out to be a separate condition: if the examination finds a retinal problem, dry eye that needs treating first, or early keratoconus, that becomes its own treatment plan with its own price. Glasses or lenses you still need during the healing weeks are yours, and so is the follow-up with your own ophthalmologist once you are home. MedAgent organises the transfer and the hotel and tells you what each part costs before you commit — see how we work.
Your prescription. High myopia, strong astigmatism or hyperopia can rule out the cheapest method entirely. Which method fits which prescription is the question behind most price differences.
Corneal thickness. A thin cornea pushes you from LASIK towards SMILE or ICL — a jump of €1,000 to €3,300. This is measurement, not upselling, and a clinic that quotes you LASIK without pachymetry is quoting blind.
The technology generation. Older excimer platforms are cheaper than current femtosecond systems. The hospital's equipment is a legitimate part of the price and worth asking about by name.
Anything found on examination. Cataract that is already forming, glaucoma, keratoconus or retinal thinning all change the plan. This is the single most common reason a real quote differs from an online price.
Send us a photo of your current prescription — the paper from your optician with the sphere, cylinder and axis for each eye — plus your age and how long your vision has been stable. That is enough for our partner ophthalmologists to say which methods are realistic for you and to issue an individual proforma, usually within one working day. The proforma is free and carries no obligation. The final method is confirmed only after the examination in Turkey, where corneal thickness, topography and tear film are measured properly.
If you would rather compare the whole catalogue first, our price overview by procedure and the list of partner hospitals are open to read.
For patients travelling from Western Europe, the UK or the Gulf, the difference is large enough that it covers the flights several times over — we set the figures side by side in LASIK: Turkey vs Europe. For patients from North Macedonia, Russia, Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan the saving is smaller, and the reason people travel is usually access to a specific technology or surgeon rather than price alone. Either way, compare like with like: a package that excludes the examination and the post-operative checks is not the same product as one that includes them.
Is the price per eye or for both?
For both eyes, for every laser and lens method above. Retina surgery is the exception and is quoted per eye.
Can the price change after I arrive?
It can, if the examination finds something that changes the method or reveals a second condition. It should never change for any other reason, and your proforma states what it covers.
How many days do I need in Turkey?
Three to four days for LASIK or SMILE, four to seven for ICL, CXL or cataract surgery. How a treatment trip to Antalya actually works breaks the days down.
What if I am told I am not a candidate?
That happens, and it is better to hear it before you book a flight. Here is what the alternatives look like.
Do I pay MedAgent anything?
No. You pay the hospital directly at hospital prices. Coordination, translation and the proforma are free to you.

This page is general information, not medical advice. Suitability, technique and results are determined individually by a licensed doctor.
Send us what you already have — the pathology report, imaging on disc, discharge summaries. A specialist at a partner hospital will review it and tell you what is realistic in your case and how quickly treatment could begin. Reviewing your documents costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
